Dear colleagues,
Our team has goals, and as you already know, goals are achieved only through hard work.
Thank you very much for everything you have already accomplished. You know very well that I need you, and you need me, in order for us to achieve our goals together. I will keep telling you that I am certain we will conquer every “peak” despite life’s adversities.
The first thing required for this is courage.
I know that difficulties appear like mushrooms after the rain, but there is one thing I am absolutely certain about: with strong willpower and courage, every obstacle can be overcome and every goal can be achieved.
Of course, many of you will occasionally try to convince me that “failure” exists, that it is common, and very likely to happen. And I know that the only reason you believe this is because you want to leave a small window open — a margin that allows you the possibility of failure.
But this does not apply to people who, with persistence and courage, defy those who advise them that it is not even worth trying. In the end, these are the people who succeed, because they leave no window open to failure, and it is precisely this mindset that leads them to victory.
There are countless historical examples that prove this, such as the legendary Battle of Gaugamela, where the Persian army outnumbered Alexander the Great’s army by five to one. I imagine Alexander the Great and his warriors saying, “Alright, do you see those people over there? Well, they’re nothing special! Let’s attack quickly and finish this because we have other things to do.” And that was it. They attacked with confidence and defeated the Persians with relative ease.
Do you see the point? Their confidence and belief in their own strength were so great that they left no room whatsoever for the possibility of failure. The word “failure” did not exist in their minds.
So I urge you to let your self-confidence do the hard work. Raise it as high as you can, and you will be amazed by how many problems you will be able to solve. These are the principles and ideals by which I live, and they have deeply influenced my life.
The truth is that no matter which department I become involved in, I do very well… and that is good for you too, isn’t it?
Do you know what one of my own failures would be? If you do not rely primarily on your own abilities and are unable to perform your work independently. I am telling you in every possible way: you must not be afraid of making mistakes.
You are fully capable of making the right decisions and avoiding serious mistakes. And yes, you are right — the success of your department, and by extension our company, depends on your decisions. But this should not worry you. Because making no decision at all will lead to even worse results. It is that simple: believe in yourself and make a decision.
Realize today that you are capable of achieving anything you set your mind to. And for your own good, understand and support the goals of our team.
To be perfectly clear, let me say this: I do not want to hear anyone tell me again, “I can’t do this,” regarding matters that are part of our goals and our plan. I have heard “I can’t” far too many times and, believe me, it does not suit you.
Do you know why? Because the truth is that YOU CAN! I HAVE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES — YOU CAN!
My dear colleagues, you voluntarily accepted the responsibility of your positions. Play hard and give your very best.
Care about our team as a whole and help elevate it. It is your team!
You have already achieved a great deal. Therefore, please accept my congratulations, and allow me to say that you deserve even more — even better results.
Thank you in advance for all the goals you will achieve. I know that I can rely on you.
Sincerely,
Dionysis Ammolochitis – Founder & Owner
